If you are here, you probably already know a little bit about ADHD, so it won’t surprise you to learn that impulsivity and insomnia are symptoms of ADHD in adults. I started this blog on a whim in the middle of a sleepless night. I’ve started three or four previous blogs and none lasted more than a few months because… well, ADHD. This blog is a symptom.
I want to make it perfectly clear from the start: I am not a doctor or expert of any kind. I’m barely self aware enough to call myself an expert on Mary (that’s me). I am a wife, mom, and grandma. I am an introvert and socially awkward, something I had fully expected to outgrow by now. I love animals, especially dogs and have two of the little beasts curled up and snoring beside me as I write. Dogs never have trouble sleeping.
I am also an enthusiastic collector of craft supplies, and I even use them sometimes when I’m not working or chasing metaphorical squirrels.
It is February and I have purchased three physical planners and one digital calendar this year. I wish I was kidding.
My home is 1) too large for me to manage and 2) pretty cluttered, what with all the dogs, dog toys, craft supplies and planners. So that is what I plan to tackle first. I can’t do much about the size of the house, but I can reduce the contents to a manageable mass. As a longtime listener to decluttering pods, I believe I have the skills.
If you find this at all interesting, I hope you’ll follow me . My great hope is that it will prove helpful over time. Or funny to a certain segment of the population. I rather expect it will fizzle out after two weeks, but maybe this will be the one!
I’m glad you’re here.
